Non-Contact Connection

To me, you matter.

How you breathe, move, hold tension, and speak (did you speak from the belly, chest or throat just before?) influences my perception of the environment and thus my own state.

Of course, it’s happening in fractions of a second and subconsciously, most of the time.

Because both of us have these non-verbal methods of communicating with each other, increasing awareness of our habits, actions and local environment – all of which can influence state – can dramatically influence how we show up.

Whether it’s at work or at home, we can generally choose to take steps that facilitate connection, or, we can leave it to chance.

This is a difficult step at first. It requires a slowing down. However it’s a shift to a human first approach and creates a sound relationship that can be stronger than in-the-moment differences in ideas or beliefs.

It creates a sound platform to see each other more fully.
