In a culture where busy-ness is a status upgrade, it’s easy to get caught up.
Interestingly, Warren Buffet (and Jeff Bazos, and many others…) continue to illustrate the power of creating space.
A billionaire many times over, Buffet is known to have around 80% of his work day allocated to sitting, reading or thinking.
A “back to back” schedule may seem kinda cool… like it is filled with upside,
But at the end of the day, it is in stillness that we are in the position of the greatest potential and can move optimally.
Here, we can breathe.
The question of course, is what other habits, or tendencies have to change in order to create space for this stillness, and yet still maintain productivity and contribution?
Rather than emulating Buffet, like in many situations, perhaps the answer for us lies in an honest look within.
