When generosity surpasses judgement

To be generous, is to call a friend

to open the door for someone

to compliment someone

to allow others to express

to write your thoughts

to challenge someone to do their best

to add to the conversation

to respond not react

to be present

But what if it doesn’t work? What if they don’t like it? And really, I shouldn’t be doing that anyway…

The script of the judge is powerful. Self judgement will freeze us in our tracks, and judging others will help to freeze everyone.

When we double down on generosity, we make things better.

When we shine the light of awareness on the judge, we can slowly find some workarounds.

When we do both – when generosity drives us over judgment, we can start to get out of our own way, and start to create the change we want to see.
