“Shoot for the stars, and if you miss you’ll hit the moon.”
This notion of course, is filled with possibility and is great in theory. The hiccup tends to come when we humanise the situation.
It turns out that when we start to really push, we have a perception challenge.
The fact is, if we’ve never left the ground, let alone shot for something outside of earth’s orbit, our nervous system freaks out when we kick it all off.
Your entire being – your past experiences, conditioning, everything, has adapted to a certain level of exposure. This could be physical, mental, social or otherwise.
So when we push into this new reality, when we try to “grow” into this moonshot, we are asking our nervous system to adapt to this new position. We become vulnerable, at a deep, subconscious level.
Is it any wonder that a lot of us freak out at this point here? Get sick? Need a holiday? Get distracted? We are looking for ways to recoil from this exposure.
But if we start to think about how this step into growth is being perceived by our entire being, we can bring acceptance. We can bring patience. We can find support. We can understand more about our mind and how well we can adapt.
And from there, we can learn to tap into our physiology and nervous system to help support it.
To do this, we come back to our centre, our physical body, our tension, we can come back to our breath.
How you are breathing is a huge key to your nervous system and perception, which of course, is a prerequisite for your growth.
Grow as a human, grow as a business.
