Effort is Free/Getting Results.

We can get results to a point by just starting.

The beginners curve. This is well known in strength training, or any sport.

Down the line though, we find we need more effort.

The effort we need is free, but it requires attention.

So, at this point, maybe a few months or years after the beginners curve starts to wane, we have a choice. We can keep choosing to do more things, multitask on more platforms, more engagements and more “yes’s” or, we can start to subtract.

Sometimes, when we subtract and remove distractions, from our training, our relationships, from our work – even just for a while – our effort automatically goes up, alongside our attention.

If attention is split, effort can be high (we can try incredibly hard), but the outcome can be poor.
