Too Much On Your Plate

Some people thrive with one task.

Others like having a couple projects on the run.

For all of us though, there’s a threshold, and when we cross it, we’re starting to hide.

“Too much on my plate”

“Too many balls in the air”

“Too much going on”

“Not enough time…”

These are all either actual setups, or attitudes we adopt, that allow us to hide.

They allow us to execute poorly, to be careless, to dismiss, to not be present, and most importantly, to not do the one or two things that we really care about well.

Focusing is not just hard, it can be scary – you’re no longer able to hide, and your work is on show.
