Balancing Mind-Body

Pain is an indicator, a flag for awareness.

A shift to a higher level of thought.

The tricky part though is the questioning of belief systems and making sure our eyes are open to the periphery. Where we look at first might not be exactly where the problem lies.

If physical or emotional pain is present and we are in a place of scarcity with our food, or our movement, no amount of meditation is going to heal us.

No amount of breath-work will make up for a shortage of nutritional energy.

We need light. We can’t out-exercise poor circadian rhythms. 

Our breath is our connection with the universe. If we are training hard, eating well but breathing poorly then we are capped by a low ceiling.

The mind-body connection is real – they are interconnected. But the main issue I see is belief systems blocking an otherwise holistic view on health.

How do we avoid our bias traps? Talk to friends, talk to colleagues, talk to those who you may not agree with. Look beyond the same podcasts you always download. 

Instead of strengthening existing belief systems, we can try to increase awareness.
