Last century, they didn’t actually know that cigarettes were bad for our health.

While a lot of people chose not to smoke, they had no real understanding of the potential repercussions of a long term smoking habit.

The thing is, we aren’t that good at knowing what’s up ahead. We have a base of knowledge as individuals, and as a collective.

And by definition this base has “fringes.”

Well, we’re terrible out there at the fringes.

Which is interesting, because it’s exactly where we often attempt to be strongest.

So knowing this, what does it look like to walk slowly? To tread lightly?

What does critical learning, critical consumption, and critical “knowing” look like?
