We can adjust our course, but only as long as we have energetic support…⠀
⠀
Any “goal” we have is usually directional. It’s not arbitrary.⠀
⠀
It’s great to want to be in business, or “want to help people” – but on it’s own, having a “passion” to do something won’t fly.⠀
⠀
There’s also a directional component – eg what’s the actual change you want to make, and for who?⠀
⠀
This is just one of the structural aspects of business – you can kind of think of it like the “intent,” or the “framing.”⠀
⠀
Maybe like a bridge that holds a bunch of cars up – the bridge spans the two points, it’s the A to B – the clearer and better the structure, the more load it can hold, or the more energy it can support, and the easier it is to deal with.⠀
⠀
Once this intent, or platform is in place though, the ability to create change requires energy, and this is the energetic support that we’re talking about.⠀
⠀
Of course it’s not just in biz, any change or adjustment requires energy…⠀
⠀
energy to heat your coffee, energy to break habitual thinking, energy to innovate vs. copy, energy to break habitual relating, energy to write, energy to create music.⠀
⠀
It’s business, relationships, thermodynamics… ⠀
⠀
So the challenge isn’t just in the intent, or that directional structure, it’s in accumulating the energy that not only can meet the demands of the changing environment, and *also* support the additional change you want to make.⠀
⠀
Not only that, you need to do it in a society that is under-nourished and energy-poor, and a society that typically doesn’t want to see you succeed in this.
⠀
Here’s a test – when you think of a goal you’re looking at, instead of thinking about “mindset,” consider the structure you have in place, and the energetic support – and see how that feels.
⠀
Your structure and energy is at a nervous system level. This often trumps mindset.
