We can trap energy in couple ways.
One is in the physical body.
We see this a lot as tension. Maybe you can even feel this now – check the upper traps, the neck. Even the belly. Is there full relaxation? Or is there tension in some sort of “readiness?”
The second is in the mind and memory.
The phone bill you have to pay. The email you needed to get back to. The open tasks that result from a busy life, disorganisation, or random habits.
Of course, one can lead to the other.
In any given day, we’re using all of the energy we have available. We use some of it to face the world and new challenges or experiences, or, we keep some of it trapped in these other locations.
Generating energy then is not just a matter of outside “sources,” but learning to relax the body, closing off unfinished tasks, unwinding tension, dropping habits and finishing projects.
