But, it might take 100 or 200 practices before you feel the deeper layers of it.

A lot of people try something once, but usually, we need to commit to more of a trial “period” and, if it’s a physical practice, see how this longer exposure affects the physical body – which always is a laggard.
If it feels right and makes sense on paper, give it a month, or a year or two of consistency, then you’ll know.
