There are two easy ways to create turbulence in fluid flow.
One is to increase the speed – or how fast it’s all moving. If you ramp up the speed, you’ll create turbulence as the fluid interacts with the environment.
The other way is to change the shape of the object the fluid is flowing around. If you put a sudden change into it – like a bend in a pipe – the fluid twists and warps, and creates turbulence as it moves past.
So there are two things you can do – slow down the speed. Whatever is going on, just pause for a moment.
Second, you can smooth out the process of whatever you’re doing. Eliminate steps, or simplify.
At the end of the day though, even if you smooth things out, the environment itself is going to change. We’ll always have to deal with turbulence.
And, that’s OK.
Planes still fly, boats still sail, and both put up with a ton of turbulent flow.
With practice, we can learn to as well.
