We’ve been taught that we’re in the attention economy.
And we are. In a saturated market, whoever holds the most attention will usually win.
Over time though, the result of this is that we’re getting slammed with so much incoming information that we “guard” our attention more than ever before.
We put up a shield against it, because paying attention is neurologically expensive.
Now, we are looking for a human connection. We are seeking specific people, businesses, or services that “Resonate” with us, before we allocate attention.
We want to see values, beliefs, and world views. We are looking for businesses that understand us, and where we want to go. Finally, we’re looking for businesses that are creating a new future that we be a part of.
