Sometimes we need “to find:” car keys, a good coffee.
But often what we need is “to decide:” a project to start, a particular type of customer to serve, a gym to go to, creativity.
“Finding” has a place, but hanging around waiting for clarity or direction to drop from the galaxy is usually just a narrative we use to support not making a decision.*
Making intentional decisions is a skill, and it’s something we can develop over time.
*This is different to choosing to not make a decision at this time, for a particular reason.
