More, not less.

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of meeting and working with the crew at Hybrid Training in Hornsby.

We worked through a Breath and Mind workshop*. In this one we went through some breath attention in a short movement practice, where we worked on using breath attention for pacing and also increased awareness of body positioning and any global tension.

A few of the responses afterwards:

“I felt like I could keep going.”

“I didn’t get the same feeling as I might from going all out.”

“I had more awareness of what my body was doing.”

When we regulate our practice with breath attention, we are changing the perception of the activity for the broader physiology.

It’s being “perceived” as a less stressful activity.

So, what do we do?

More.

This opens up the door to have a much higher weekly volume and diversity of movement. This could be a lunchtime walk to start, an extra hike on the weekend. Another class during the week.

Through this increase in practice rather than focus on stimulus, we create more consistency.

This means higher targets, more movement, more awareness, more connection, more contribution, more love.

*P.S. I’ve got space for a couple more workshops in 2018. These are perfect for team, corporate and gym environments. If you would like to take your team’s performance to the next level using breath, hit reply and I’ll send you the details.
