The [Hidden] Power of Habit

Both Charles Duhigg and James Clear have written some great work on habit development and the power of habits.

I believe there is another small super-power in the creation of habits.

That is confidence or belief.

I’ve often talked about the power of belief.

When we are able to identify a habit that isn’t serving us, or a new one we’d like to incorporate and then actually execute on this, our realisation that we can create the change we want to see in our life is boosted.

What can seem like small habit shifts to an outsider can bring a huge amount of satisfaction and self-belief to a person.

Start small, create the change, lock it in then dial up the amplitude.

If belief is a power attribute, then surely (even small) habit development is the perfect fuel for the fire.
