Advanced Techniques

A lot of times when we are introduced to a new area – conscious breathing, meditation, movement, starting a business..

It is common to look straight towards the “advanced techniques.”

Of course, this is usually fuelled by comparison (how are we going compared to the person next door – or self comparison, I’m good at X, so I should be good at Y).

Similarly, it often it can also be fuelled by a teacher who is eager to impress

“Here, don’t worry about that.. come with me, I’ll show you some of the more advanced techniques..”

The interesting thing though is the higher an individual is performing in an area,

Or the more comfortable, or proficient they are,

The more time they have spent on the basics.

In many areas, the most basic progressions can really continue to offer us enough insights to last us many years!
