When we go deeper into the exercise and training journey, we only can spend so much time on structural stuff before there are diminishing returns.
This means that for the general population to get fit, healthy and have vitality, there is a certain amount of training experience or knowledge that is helpful, in order to continue getting results.
After that (and even early on!) we tend to have “software” issues. Why do they stop training? How do we foster motivation? How do we create good habits? How do they make good food choices consistently? How do they make movement a non-negotiable?
I believe strongly that in order to create this greater, long-term change, we need to begin to observe and understand the mind – our behaviour, our conditioning, our patterns – early on.
Meditation is our “scientific” approach, our way of observing this inner world.
The nature of thoughts, fear, anxieties, desires. Through meditation we can study it all and gain valuable insights into the creation of habit and behavioural patterns.
It is the one, final, ultimate non-negotiable.
