When we work with each other, meet, train or just relate with one-another,
We have the opportunity to connect. Not just casually in passing, but actually connect authentically.
For many, in a rushed, distracted lifestyle, this is more and more difficult.
However, should we choose to pursue this path of connection and make it a priority, we find something interesting occurs.
When we choose to connect powerfully with someone we meet, it creates a different pathway.
Our reptilian brain recognises connection. It seems tribal. We know that when we meet this person again, this connection can build, it is real and authentic.
These early interactions are important. If they are distracted, it is more difficult to then build a stronger connection – The first interaction didn’t impact us as powerfully as it could have.
Does authentic “relating” imprint in our memory more powerfully?
Is this the “connection” itself? Or is it simply that in order to connect, we need to eliminate distractions?
Either way, it is tangible.
To me, realising these situations, these opportunities and therefore these connections is important, in business and in our social circles.
It creates a shift. Now all interactions are an opportunity to be more present, connect more powerfully and therefore build a foundation of authentic relating.
We create a network around us that is close, supportive and loving. Like a family.
