What is the “Feeling”?

How should this feel?

When we are doing breath work, or pranayama, we should feel relaxed and in particular we should feel warm.

If we don’t understand how we should feel, then we lead with the head.

This is dangerous.

In this example of the breath, if we follow the head and we read some instruction somewhere then we only focus on a “count,” or a “tempo” or some type of “hold” maybe. If we are just starting out though, this might be far ahead of where we are at.

The outcome then, would feel completely different. It might be stressful, or cause frustration or anxiety.

Understanding how something should feel can be more important than understanding all of the nuts and bolts of the mechanics at the beginning.
