Adaptability and Resillience

“Stronger and Harder to Kill” – I see this every once in a while on a fitness T-shirt.

Adaptability and resilience are interesting areas.

While physical strength, mobility and of course lean muscle mass do seem to have significant benefits for longevity, we also have aspects such as CO2 tolerance and tone of the parasympathetic nervous system.

Once we looked at VO2 max and work output, but now we are seeing the adaptability is our ability to overcome stressors as we travel through life.

Do we have the right resources available?

Do we have a healthy stress response function and ability to down-regulate?

Is the game about to change in the industry?
