When you watch a rower in a river, there is a posture of ease and grace.
Even with a beginner.
We see that same with a surfer, a skiier, a rock climber.
We don’t see the same with most people on a rowing machine or a treadmill.
Nature demands a level of awareness.
A level of ease and grace just to navigate it’s twists and turns.
The gym doesn’t require this, but it also doesn’t exclude it.
Movement breath and body awareness are great places to start to bring awareness back into training and after all, awareness is the main keystone attribute for overall ability to learn.
So, if we can’t get outdoors all the time, we start by looking for higher levels of awareness when we are indoors.
