I’ll fly off of the island later today in a very small plane.
When you land in Auckland – like many major cities, you get to look down see the fields and paddocks on the outskirts before you get to the landing area.
You can see them all, it’s like a patchwork of different greens – light, dark, even yellows.
Which grass is greener? Which field would you choose?
The easiest place for us to see where the grass is greener then, is from above. Before we engage.
Once we are down on the field, and doing our work, we have lost this perspective and are subjected to a strange force which further distorts our thought patterns.
The force here is common, it’s resistance. It drives us to avoid the work, the task or the session (that really, we want to do) in favour of looking for “other” options.
The fastest way to get a clearer perspective, is to finish the task, such that we remove the resistance.
