The “dirt” is the stuff that we speed over.
It is the part of the conversation that we don’t like to go into.
We shift the eye contact and move along to something else. We deflect with ease.
By definition, to get to the dirt means to go below the outer level of worldly beliefs and ideas: we enter into the level of emotion, feeling and stories we have around our self.
The dirt is raw, exposing and sometimes can feel ugly, yet beginning to play in it is the only way we can really learn, grow and understand more about our full selves.
