Taking Your Car to 200…

So your car maybe can go 180km/hr… Maybe 200..

So 200 is maybe a little shaky, but that’s the potential.

But to go from 100 to 200*, you need to push the accelerator down.

The extra 100km/hr doesn’t deliver itself.

We need to engage in order to access that potential.

Well, it is kind of like this with our business and our movement as well.

We can see opportunity, we know it’s there, we even have the ideas on what might work.

Yet the accelerator must be pushed. An action plan, accountability work, positive peer pressure, a reflection process – these are all tools to help us squeeze out this extra 100km/hr.

A lot of times this isn’t easy, or comfortable.

Now, there’s a caveat – Energy Generation** is the first part of the work – this means that just because we can take the car to 200, it doesn’t mean we don’t slow it down and give it some love, an oil change, some maintenance.

And again, it’s the same with our other areas – self love, rest and recovery. Accessing potential is not about frenzy, but rather intent.

So, if things are feeling stuck, it could well be that you need to become “active” with the available opportunity. It can be right there in front of us, but as they say, “stuff doesn’t do itself.”

The interesting part opens up once we see that our narrative is playing a big role in how well we can adapt to this posture of action – and that to change a narrative, nothing is more powerful than positive peer pressure and a support network

*I’m not suggesting you do this by the way. Please drive within the designated speed limits. : )

**If you haven’t yet, check out the latest PDF on energy generation from the APA crew they put out. Pretty cool, it’s found here
