Talk Does Not Cook The Rice

We know that work doesn’t do itself, and talking about it isn’t helpful.

This is clear.

Yet the interesting thing is how many different forms “talk” can now take.

Email checking, social media posting and grooming, planning, reflecting, polishing, organising, meeting… These are all important at times for sure.

But just like the time spent driving to the gym or having coffee after the workout doesn’t count as “time under tension,” these extra activities aren’t typically the “hard part,” and usually don’t get us closer to getting the work out there.
