“You’ve Got a Chip on Your Shoulder.” This was one of the many odd, somewhat confusing-at-the time sayings my Dad used to have when we were little. I’d mutter under my breath: “Where?? I don’t see any chip. You’ve got a chip!” Or… “Lighten up.” “Knock it off.” A couple more. Emotions come and go....
