Attitude Training

“You’ve Got a Chip on Your Shoulder.”

This was one of the many odd, somewhat confusing-at-the time sayings my Dad used to have when we were little.

I’d mutter under my breath: “Where?? I don’t see any chip. You’ve got a chip!”

Or…

“Lighten up.”

“Knock it off.”

A couple more.

Emotions come and go. Sometimes in a pretty volatile fashion.

Energy ebbs and flows. And occasionally it’ll feel like it’s even gone forever.

But the attitude we choose to turn up with: our approach, our consistency, how we relate with others, how we contribute to the group, can be trained.

Physically, it makes sense – and today we even get to choose what type of physical practice and “body” we want to develop.

What if it is the same with our attitude?

The cool thing is we have the opportunity to continue the training of both of these for life.
