Reflection vs. Comparison

Reflection in our work or practice can create a positive lever. We can do this alone, or through “feedback,” we can enrol others to help.

It is intentional, and responsive.

When we compare with others, often we create a negative, slippery slope. Rather than looking at our work, comparison tends to leave us questioning our entire journey, or even worse, our selves.

It’s often unintentional, and reactive.

How you engage with others on your journey is a personal choice. It can be a confronting, debilitating sea of quicksand, or, it can be a collaborative, open ocean of greater possibility.

It’s important to know the difference.
