Imagine we are all sitting there in a room. Like a school assembly hall.
The speaker is up the front, and she divides us into two groups. She says to Group A that their task is to draw a masterpiece on an A4 sheet of paper by December 31st. They get to plan it down to a “T.”
She tells us in Group B that we have to go home today and draw something. We just have to draw something every day in fact, until December 31st.
We’ll see an interesting result.
Firstly, Group A will miss the deadline. They won’t ship the work.
And, many of us in Group B will create a masterpiece.
Volume, practice, frequency, showing up, and calling out “perfectionism” for the black magic that it is, is the only way we can eventually create something we are proud of.
