A one to one connection is nice.
A direct message, a deep dive conversation.
These are powerful, and often the only way we can create a certain environment.
Often though, it’s more powerful to have that same conversation on an open platform. This allows the same exchange to bring value directly to the group.
Almost always, there is someone else in the group who benefits from a constructive conversation, who might pitch in, or who might elevate the discussion.
Of course lateral connection is key, and not all topics are for the public domain. But where possible, when you voice your message to the group or on an open forum it creates more discussion, and is more generous.
