Acknowledgement.

There’s a huge upside to feedback.

Whether it’s done internally – like a reflection process: “Wow, that conversation didn’t go well… What could I have done better?”

Or, maybe it’s in a formal group setting: those who regularly seek feedback from their peers tend to outperform.

But there’s another side too, simply noticing someone’s good work. For no reason. Just to recognise the effort of another human. To acknowledge.

Of course, it sounds simple, but there are some hurdles for sure: we get busy, we get stuck in our head, there’s friction in opening the line of communication, maybe there’s tall poppy syndrome… whatever it is, it requires attention and taking an extra step.

For most of us though, most of the time, simply being seen is one the things we crave the most.

We crave acknowledgement.

So with this little bit of effort, you are creating an entirely different day for someone else. An entirely different future is available.

Who can you acknowledge today?
