“Creative” is an adjective.
It’s also an identifier, a differentiator.
And finally, it can be a limiter.
Some of us feel that we are “creative.” Others of us feel that we are “not.” Either way, this can stop us in our tracks.
This is how it often goes:
If we aren’t creative, what right do we have to step outside the square? What right do we have to create? We are supposed to stick to facts and figures, right?
If we are creative, then surely this latest project isn’t up to scratch. Surely I can do better… If only I delay a little longer.
A far better option is to prioritise creation itself. To literally create, and to ship.
Forget the subjective adjective, focus on the output and the process. You may even find it builds a bit of creativity within you.
