Discovering The Nuances

When we watch a handbalancer kick into a handstand, we see someone balancing upside down, on their hands.

When we start to practice however, our wrists need to adapt, we need to build strength in shoulder “elevation.”

We need to learn this “kick up.”

We need to learn where the weight distribution works best across the hands.

We find there is an entire world here for us, waiting. One thing after another.

In any new domain, there’s “what we see at the start” and then there’s the deeper fabric of what is actually involved.

The science of the act is simple balance. The picture.

It’s the art of any practice is introduces us to the nuances, and only through patience and the long game, can we learn to not just “find,” but appreciate each little detail that makes it all possible.
