A couple of months ago, I sat down to do some work and when I started to type, nothing appeared on the screen.
I moved my mouse around with the little trackpad, and nothing – the cursor seemed frozen.
It appeared as though everything was working perfectly, yet I had no control of the computer at all.
When I plugged in an external mouse, it started to work again.
Turns out there’s a little cable inside the laptop that controls both the keyboard and the mouse. If this fails, you lose all control.
With a computer, there are a couple of critical areas or key tasks that we need to get anything done. The mouse and the keyboard are two that seem pretty important.
In a retail store, we need assistance at the checkout to move forward.
In a car, we need the wheels to turn, fuel, and a spark.
In our physical body, we need movement, fuel and rest.
In a business, you need to solve a problem. People need to know about you.
While identifying the critical areas or key considerations won’t solve everything, if you don’t identify them, you aren’t going to get anywhere fast.
