Consistency: Even when you don’t feel like it.
Persistence: Even when it gets hard.
Both of these are powerful, but they really come into their own when we reach the edge of comfort.
How do we show up when we are squeezed?
What kind of behaviour or attitude do we have, when it’s a little closer to our limit?
It’s fun to talk about these kinds of attributes, but what we really mean here is doing something even though we might not want to. It’s an attitude piece.
It’s easy to be consistent when it feels good. It’s fun to persist when the work is easy.
But that’s not where it counts. It’s when we’re a little closer to the edge that matters.
