The lack of prizes.

In 2020, it’s easy to get confused.

So, it’s sometimes helpful to remember that there are a few ways to avoid actually winning a prize.

A couple of them come to mind:

  1. Being online for more time.
  2. Thinking more about the project before starting it.
  3. Stopping as soon as it gets difficult and starting something new.
  4. Yelling louder.
  5. Spreading more fear.
  6. Being plugged into more news sources.
  7. Needing to be in every (perpetually open) online conversation.
  8. Doing work you aren’t proud of.

With increasing bandwidths, outlets, experts and reports, there are ample opportunities to run off course.

We can either choose a recurring state of distraction, or we can choose to focus on where we actually want to go.
