There’s a lot of information out there.

And, there was a lot of information out there ten years ago.

It’s been a decade or two since the amount of “information” available crossed the threshold that any of us could actually handle.

There’s been “too much” for a while now.

So what’s happening?

The difference is now, a lot of us are trying to consume more of it. Habitually, constantly, or consciously.

Plugged in is a cultural norm.

So, while it can feel like there’s too much information, maybe you’re simply spending too much effort trying to consume it all from too many sources.

Regulating the information flow at the consumption end is a lot easier than trying to blame it on the source.
