Making decisions, questioning decisions

Effective organisations aren’t one-way streets.

To create a healthy, or high performing team (relationship, business, country…), it’s important to build and maintain avenues for open feedback and idea flow in both directions.

In many situations, only through feedback, or vertical idea flow from the “bottom up,” can we see a questioning of path dependence or an antiquated status quo.

If you’re leading and making the decisions, you want to be questioned.

If you’re being led and following the decisions, you want to question.

If there’s not an open and active avenue for both, there’s usually a problem either already present, or right around the corner.
