Is it working?

For a while there I was doing a lot of long distance triathlons.

Hours of training “fitness.” My identity was basically built on this whole routine of swimming, cycling and running.

And, at the same time I remember having restless sleep, lethargy, and mood swings.

I was “fast,” but my body (and therefore mind) was in turmoil.

In hindsight, if we are talking about generating all around “fitness,” the whole thing simply wasn’t working for me. Eventually, I changed course.

It’s remarkably easy to miss reality.

We’re told to do something, follow some rules or a trend, or follow our own patterns, but the question we need to come back to is: “Is it actually helpful?”

If I avoid the sunk costs of time I’ve spent doing this, and the reputation I’ve built, is it still worth continuing?

What evidence or data do we have to support this?
