You have 45 minutes for a “workout.”
Do you try to get more reps in? A faster circuit? More calories?
Speed (and convenience) tend to get the upper hand in a fast-paced culture. Uber eats, takeaway food, life on-demand…
But there’s another axis – one of “appreciation” – what happens if we took that same 45 minutes, and only did half as much?
There are maybe less calories burned, but we might be able to notice more, feel more, understand more and relax more. All of these may well lead to results just as much as “getting more done.”
Everywhere we look, speed is popular. But a slower appreciation is still a great option.
