On a warm day in Summer last year, we sat with a guy in Bondi.
32 years old, and he’d just sold a company for 32 million dollars.
But the company hadn’t grown easily…
A while after he and his brother started it, they began to see some traction. But when this happened, he started spending: gambling, nights out, trips away… he created a bunch of noise.
He sat with a mentor, who helped him see that if he wanted to really grow this thing, he was going to have to focus.
He locked himself in the room each day and did sales calls. All day.
A few years later, they sold.
The thing is, the bigger opportunities (work, relationships, health…) are often right there. The question is, can we quieten down the addictive “noise” enough to let the possibility come through and then get to work?
